Last updated September 21, 2026 · Applies to the WaveSign Android app (com.rslabs.wavesign)
WaveSign works entirely offline. There is no account, no server, and no data collection of any kind.
Everything you type — every message, color, and setting — stays on your device and never leaves it.
No sign-up, no login, no email address required to use the app.
WaveSign never connects to the internet. It has no network permission at all.
Your messages and settings are saved locally, only so the app remembers them next time you open it.
No ad networks, no analytics, no third-party SDKs of any kind are included in the app.
WaveSign saves a small amount of information only on your device, using Android's standard local app storage:
None of this is ever transmitted anywhere. It is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app, or you can clear it any time from Android's Settings → Apps → WaveSign → Storage → Clear data.
WaveSign does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage, or any other sensitive permission. The only device behavior it adjusts is your screen's brightness while a sign is on display, which it restores automatically when you exit — this uses a standard Android display API, not a permission, and nothing is recorded or shared.
Because WaveSign collects no data of any kind from any user, it does not knowingly collect data from children either. The app is safe for all ages for this same reason.
If WaveSign ever changes what it does with data in a future update, this page will be updated first, and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
